The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 2022 Honda Insight the highest rating of Good in all six crash safety tests and named it a TOP SAFETY PICK+. It also earned a Good rating for how well its headlights illuminate the road ahead.
The IIHS uses a different scale for grading collision avoidance features. The Insight earned the highest rating of Superior for its standard front crash prevention systems.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2022 Honda Insight an overall safety rating of five out of five stars, with five stars in the frontal crash, side crash, and rollover tests.
The California Air Resources Board gave the Insight a ULEV rating for the 5-speed model and a SULEV rating for the CVT model.
